Writing Enrichment Day
Writing Enrichment Day – Alien Crash Landing!
Our Writing Enrichment Day began with an out-of-this-world surprise — an alien spaceship crash-landed in our playground! The aliens left a special message asking for help to design their brand-new Alien School, and the children were eager to assist.
Using creativity, technology, and teamwork, the children explored our classroom and playground to plan the perfect school environment. They used positional language to describe where things are — “next to,” “behind,” “between,” and “in front of” — while practising speaking clearly and presenting with confidence.
Throughout the day, the children:
Designed their own alien friends to help plan the new school.
Created a class video report explaining what a school needs and how it should be organised.
Made posters and signs to label different areas of the Alien School.
Took part in role play, giving and following instructions using positional language.
It was a fantastic day filled with imagination, language, and laughter — and our talented writers proved that learning can truly be out of this world!
